To make it a somewhat short story, I have been working out for a while on a straight paleo diet. Supplementing it with 100% whey protein, a multi vitamin (opti men) and omega 3s (what ever is cheapest)... I'll usually drink a shake morning, afternoon and evening between meals. I usually sip on my evening shake before, during and after my work out. Before switching to opti-men multi's I bought a box of the GNC mega men sport vitapaks which included their multi vitamin, glutamine pill, and a citrulline and arginine pill. It also had a thermogenic that I took only if I didn't have a cup of coffee in the morning to kickstart my day. Since coming off of the vita paks I feel like my recoveries are taking longer and I'm not feeling the pump in the gym like I was (probably due to the fact that I'm not taking the citrulline and arginine). I would like to add the glutamine pills and the citrulline and arginine pills back into my supplementation. I will most likely being going with Optimum Nutrition brand if I can find it locally. When are the ideal times to pop the glutamine and the arginine and citrulline? Morning, pre workout, post workout, standing on my head? When I had the vitapaks I would just take them all in the morning.
