This is exactly one very fun reason why I Love having my F150 supercharged. There is always some idiot that thinks my truck is slow, and they attempt to cut you off or screw you.

Came up to an intersection just outside of my neighborhood. Just passed the intersection, traffic has to merge and there is only about 100ft before it does so. It's very common for people to race at this intersection. Normally I don't care, but today, a dirt bag in a Tundra decided he was going to blow the stop sign to beat me. I came to a stop and looked in my mirror and saw him approaching without slowing down. He was traveling at about 35-40mph and blew through the stop sign at that speed. Most people do a rolling stop in an attempt to get through, but he didn't even touch the brakes. I have never witnessed anyone blow this stop at this speed before. Just before the stop, I had already through to put it in to 4A, so I was ready.

I launched hard, and not only did I make up the speed difference, but I was pulling on him almost immediately. I could hear his V8 screaming too, so I know he was flooring it. Got to the part where we merge, and he had to get behind me.

As he passed, he floored it and gave me the finger. lulz He was clearly butthurt. People never cease to amaze me that they drive unsafe, blow a stop sign, then somehow I get the finger. How does that make sense?

So somebody blows through a stop sign and you feel the need to cut them off and then say they were being unsafe?

lol

Go preach your bullshit to somebody else

you should go back and re read your post.

You were just as unsafe as he was forcing him to merge behind you.

Truth is i probably would have done just what you did but more truth is that it's equally as unsafe.

What I meant was, how is this guy getting pissy with me for what I did, when he blew a stop sign at full speed and then continued trying to race me? He clearly thought I was the douchebag and I was in the wrong in this situation and he was being a big fat hypocrite and loser

What kind of number are you making with the roush?

It's currently on the ROUSH calibrations, which, I am sure most are aware, are garbage. Tons of tq management and conservative tuning. I have seen some dynos around that puts them right around 420whp though. With a custom tune, they are up around 475whp to about 500whp for something more aggressive. THey run about mid 13s on ROUSH tuning and around 11s on a good custom tune.

I've been on both sides of this encounter. I've rolled through a stop sign when I thought it was safe, to get in front of another car I perceived to be slower, so I wouldn't have to get stuck behind them. I've also seen someone trying to blow by me, and stopped them in a manner similar to you. Either way, I know there's a good chance I'm going to get a negative reaction from the other driver. Especially doing what you did. Doesn't mean it's justified, but that's how it goes. Guy really wanted to get in front of you because he probably wanted to speed, and you got in his way. If he wanted to race, he probably wouldn't have blown through the stop at 35mph.

Roush pickup is an 11 second truck with just a tune?? Really?

I am not sure if the guys running 11 seconds and faster have bigger injectors, but I am pretty sure my current set up is good for about 11s.

There is one that I know of running 10s.

Bitching at someone for being "unsafe" in roadkill should be an infraction - it's like going to a Porn site then being upset when someone get's ****ed.

Here is a video of a guy claiming just bolt-ons, tune and stall and running sub 10's.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxwsP2bo-Ew

If he is running near 10's with bolt-ons, you should be running 9's with a supercharger.

Not sure if you posted the right vid, but the one you posted is a single cab supercharged f150 that ran an 11

Keep in mind, mine is a 4x4 and supercab, which adds a lot of weight too.

Just one of the first ones I found when I searched.

I am sure it can be done, but, I'm skeptical that a truck that weighs over 6500LBS making only 420-500 RWHP depending on the dyno/tune is running faster and trapping the same as a car with half the weight and the same, if not more power.

Going from 13's on a canned tune to 11's with a custom tune is a HUGE jump IMO. I can see going from low 13's to mid 12's with a better tune, but, not a full 1.5-2.5 second drop and over 8-10 MPH.

It's similar with the ROUSH calibrated mustangs too. They gain .1 second 0-60 and .2 seconds in 1/4 mile over stock. So, they do about 12s on ROUSH calibrations to 10s or 11s on a custom tune. The difference is, they put way more tq management in the trucks than they do the cars.

bullshit. leaving a stop hard when you have the right of way is nowhere near as unsafe as blowing through a stop sign.

This. Just the other day I came to a 4 stop and this old fart in his big ass truck takes the stop even though I had already come to a stop and was already moving. I had to come down to a stop in the middle of the intersection to avoid hitting his truck. Old fart did not even bother looking my way I was so pissed. I guess what I am trying to say here is that some people deserve a lesson or two even if you too engage in a certain behavior. Good job man!

depending on my day at work I'll do exactly what you did at a spot where there's a traffic light then 3 lanes become 2. as normal in these situations, 95% of cars line up at the light in the 2 lanes that exist beyond the light and a car or two end up in lane 3.

My favorite is to give your average car (accord, camry, minivan, etc) a split second off the line (generally a fender so they don't start to get over in front of me) then put the hammer down, and they end up being the one all mad so I feel you haha. Anyways, nice kill! Put the stupid Tundra in his place

You got your numbers mixed up, .1 is a tenth not a full second. With a better tune you will gain .10 or .20 of a second. You would have to add boost to drop full seconds unless your straight fast and furious then the sky is the limit.

99ss, this is not to play wise ass, but .1 and .10 are the same amount when measuring parts of a second.
