Have been looking over a svo rear end and brake setup. The svo came with a 7.5, but you can take the stock axles out and put them in a 8.8 and then bolt up all of the svo brake parts. My question , Is the axle lenght of a cobra and a svo the same lenght? Ralph

Yes, they are the same length. If you get the rearend cheap I would pick it up just for the big brake option and five lug conversion. The backing plates are cheasy stampings but if your not road racing who cares..

Just in case you can't find SVO axles, I think it's the passenger side(or maybe it's drivers side) axle from an early 90's ranger will work as well. Just get two of them. It's the exact same length of a mustangs axle.

its driver's side on the Ranger deal but that is only if you are keeping drum brakes
