4 months ago I was helping my dad unload limber from his dump trailer and it was jammed in the upright position and he went under it to kick it and I was 10 feet back when it fell straight on him pinning him in the fetal position on the ground, I immediately thought his neck was broken. Luckily his back was not broken but his sternum was crushed which barely allowed him to breath. He was in the hospital for 4 days and the nurse told him if he wasnt in the shape he was in his body wouldnt have been able to handle the impact. I had never been so scared in my life. When stuff like that happens it certainly gives a much different perspective on what's really important in life. I don't know where I would be without my father, but more importantly my mother to have her husband taken like that would be devastating. I wish it was me everyday because my dad did not deserve to be in the pain that he was. Such a terrible thing to go through and I hope no one ever has to witness something like that.
