For yet another year the SVTP crew has managed to take time out of our completely awesome lives to travel to Orlando, FL for the 2011 Performance Racing Industry ("PRI") tradeshow. For those of you not familiar with PRI, think of it as SEMA without all the bling (or the ability to walk down the street chugging a bottle of party liquor like it's a bottle of water with impunity). This is basically the industry show for those who make and sell go-fast parts. Unfortunately, the show seemed a good bit smaller this year. On a more positive note though, the Ford Racing booth was festooned with new parts for our favorite pony car. For those of you who didn't get a chance to make it down here for the show fret not, for you can live vicariously through our very amateurish photos.

Why is the cobra Jet a 5.0 when they're throwing the 5.8 in the GT500. Seems weird to me/

It's probably an option, as there has been since the CJ was reintroduced. You could even get pushrod engines should you choose in past years. The SCJ had been the 4.0 whippled GT500 motor.

I like it! Might talk with the GM about this one. GT500's will be your top dawgs again and will be retired on top. Cant wait to get are allocations.

Ford wants the cj in some class other than AA like c,d or e in the NHRA racing.

^^^ This. The naturally aspirated 5.0 is just an option to compete in lower classes. The current cobra jets and super cobra jets have to compete in some of the top super stock classes due to hp/weight classifications.
