The CEG is the best place for the information. I am currently putting together my 3.0L and it will hopefully be going in with in the month. Do you have any specific questions?

yeah, i think just about all of us here are part of contour.org and more and more of us are doing 3.0L swaps, myself being one of them....mine should be up and running here in a couple months as soon as i get my turbo kit back from street flight this week. if you have any general questions just go over to the 3.0L forum over on contour.org and just about any question you can think of has been answered so just search first.:p

Just an FYI, there are two 2.5L (both turbo's) right at the 400fwhp number and one 3.0L (SC) there as well. Jim (Beyondloadedse) will I'm sure be there some time soon.

No offense, but maybe he should change his goals to another car if he's looking at 500whp. The few guys making around 400whp can barely get the power to the ground. At some point there is a limit to what is practical for FWD. IMHO of course... ;-)

500 whp is certainly feasible. Youll just have to upgrade the T3/T4 turbo to something bigger. And of course, upgrade pistons, rods, injectors, drivetrain etc if that already hasnt been done.

yes we were looking at a 62-1 possibly a T70 with a smaller exhaust housing
of course all the motor mods
Diamond pistons 60lb injectors etc...

We have talked about the drivetrain not sure what is available

not sure if anyone makes pistons or rods for it
thinking of kenne bell boost a pump like mustang guys do

Diamond and Ross Racing make pistons for the 3.0L. Diamond also makes pistons for the 2.5L. Myself and many others are running Pauter Rods. Cunningham has also made a one off set for a 3.0L Vortech owner on CEG.

Generally when most people do a FI application for the contour, they swap in the zetec 3.8 final drive for the duratec 4.06. Of course, Quaife and Torsen both make LSDs for the MTX-75. Quaife also offers a straight cut dog engagement gear set but its a closer gear ratio set so its probably not optimal, but im sure its definetely stronger. Driveshaftshop.com makes 2 stages of axle shafts but both have 1117 billet inner housing with oversized Tripod which have been shown to break on NA 3.0Ls. So the stage 2, wont be able to withstand anymore abuse than the stage 1s. They can make something custom for you though. As for clutches and flywheels, go with SPEC.

we have had really good luck with spec

I have been checking with some axle makers

does the focus 2.0 tranny bolt up the same?

He wants a six speed

No different bellhousings, not to mention the MTX-75 is stronger than the Focus Getrag 6 speed.
