When i experienced the worn and broken timing chain guides. There was tapping sound coming from the front of the engine. I ignored it thinking it would last longer than it did. One day i was driving down the road and i got on it like half throttle and it just shut off on me. I guess there was enough slack in the chain that it jumped a tooth and bent the valves.
