t-56 fluid capacity

The owners manual says that the transmission holds 3.8 pints of fluid. Can anyone validate this?

Yup, mine actually only took 3.5 on a lift, figured it must have been tilted some how...

Quarts, not pints. Just changed mine this weekend. 3.8 is the number.;-)

sounds right to me....i just put my tranny back in the other day and it took a little under 4 quarts

Quarts it will be then, but I wonder why the owners manual calls for 3.8 pints? I will pick up another 2 quarts in the morning.

My '04 manual said quarts cause I remember thinking that seemed like a lot for a manual trans.

Took about 3.5, must of had some original fluid left in.

I did mine as a "hot" drain, and it took right at 4 quarts, so I would say 3.8 quarts would be correct.
