Hey guys, a couple quick question for those of you who have ever swapped trans:
The FRPP aluminum flywheel I got with my new Trans ('03 T-56) had a thin spacer on the center of it, I tried to bolt the flywheel up with it on, but the holes don't match up. The spacer seems to serve no purpose other than to have the flywheel bolts thread into the motor less..... :shrug:
Also, I got a polyurethane trans mount to replace the old one. In between the old trans mount and the crossmember sat some weird rectangular plate that seemed to help locate the trans mount. I don't think the new trans mount will fit in it (plus it's rusted to all hell), the rectangular piece is not necessary is it?
I have pictures of both pieces I can upload tomorrow if anyone can't figure out what I'm talking about - thanks for your help!
