Mine is popping out of 4th just like you described. It goes in next week for a teardown. The guy said $525 for labor and $200 to $300 for parts. He couldn't say for sure cause there are a few things that could be causing the problem.

I thought about buying a rebuild and installing it myself, but it's about the same price to have a shop rebuid mine and do the labor. Here is a couple places I considered for a rebuilt trans.....

and you have to call these guys about the t45. They said $725

Possibility that the clutch fork is not sitting on the ball stud properly or if you have an adjustable cable, might want to tighten it up some. Maybe someone else can chime in with an answer:shrug:

525 for labor and 300 for parts????? you can buy a rebuilt trans for that much. No in hell should labor be 525. does the labor include pulling it from the vehicle too? if so, just so it yourself. Its not that hard.

yeah, that price is I drop the car off with them and pick it up 3 days later for the same price as buying a rebuild and installing myself. My knuckles are thanking me already

Do you know of a place selling rebuilt t45s for less than $725??? shoot me a link or phone #

luckily my GF's dad is a ford tech. soon, were going to pull my trans, and take it to the dealership where he works. The trans guy in the shop is going to rebuild it for 150 bucks. I supply all the parts.

no it does not, my shop teacher at school (owned and ran a shop for 15 yrs) said that their might be a part missing within my shifter (i have a pro 5.0 powerstick)

when i push up into a gear it doesnt go in all the way in 1st, 3rd or 5th making us believe a piece is missing
