Just finished my T56 swap and doing the final wiring of the reverse lockout module from American powertrain. I’m very pleased with the outcome even though I’ve only been able to drive it a couple hundred miles. Best part is cruising down the highway at 2k rpms at 70mph.
With all of that being said, as soon as I get my new clutch broke in and the weather gets cool I will be starting the Eaton swap. I’ve done some research on the swap and seen many walkthroughs people have done. My goal is to have the car ready to go to the tuner when I’m done with the swap with all parts working. Of course that’s everyone’s dream, but I’d like not to show up and something like MAF sensor causing an issue. So I have the swap kit off of an 04 cobra, also bought a ported Eaton I will be using instead of stock, 60lb injectors(I believe), dragon throttle body and plenum. In the near future I’ll be purchasing a cobra JLT cold air intake, upgrade the MAF, and maybe fuel system.
From those that know more than I...
Do I need to pick up a handheld tuner?
What else possibly might you upgrade to ensure everything goes smoothly at the tuner?
