II traced the problem down to the T56 Transmission not pushing the plunger down far enough on the back-up switch to complete the circuit.

I suck an Allen wrench in the threaded hole to the BU switch to try to feel movement when my wife put the car in and out of reverse and could not feel anything move internal to the transmission. I confirmed she was getting car in reverse. Weird, as I expect to feel some movement?

Anyone know if there is an internal adjustment that can be done external to the transmission to set engagement of the BU switch?

This happened last year at state inspection, I installed a new switch and it did not work, but upon tightening it to the max worked. This year it is not working again. Both original and new switch are good. It is something internal to transmission.

What activates the BU switch internally in the T56?

Am I the only Termi owner with this issue?

I was thinking of machining the BU switch housing for one more thread of engagement.
