Tax Question

Last year I had storm damage on my house and had to file an insurance claim. Is the deductible I paid considered a deduction on my 2010 taxes?

I also had a vehicle accident, so same question about the deductible there too.

i think your home insurance claim would only be deductible for a rental property, and your vehicle claim would only be deductible if it was a vehicle used for business. but i am no tax expert...
