Hey guys,
Todd is out of town and sugested I give a try on the board here to see what I am doing wrong here.

I have apx 1/4" movement on the rear axel in the housing after putting it back together.
I used the stock C-clips when I put the axels back in.
I know Todd's are slightly wider but not enough to make up this 1/4".

Anyone have any advice on this before I pull the rear cover and slip in Todd's C-clips?
I have the Tru-trac in if that makes any difference.

Seems like it needs a larger piece of stock that seperates the axel ends inside the housing to tighten up the slack.

Any help will be appreciated.
I know some guys running this setup have it working so if you can let me know any tricks I am missing.
Thanks

i thought you needed some sort of bushing to be custom machined for the install?
I could be wrong so dont quote me directly, however Pitstain may have some input.

Stupid question......did you put the large pin back into the carrier through the spider gears??

If that large pin is out, the axles will be able to go in about a 1/4 of an inch.

The large pin is what I am thinking needs to be a bit longer to take up the slack.
I am pretty sure it all went back in correct.
I think Ian may have had some experience with these brakes.

Is it the exact same play distance on both sides? Some axles I have taken apart have different sizes c-clips on either side. If you have the tru-trac, there is a diffent way of shimming those IIRC.

Are the carrier bolts tight?

I am signed up for Fri. the 17th road course action.

Last time out the stockers were smoking pretty bad, almost on fire:D

Can't wait to give them a little break in.
