As the title states, the trainee got a new nickname, and he hates it.
Which makes it even better, and verifies it is the right nickname.
He is now called "Foreskin"
Because when the work gets hard, he disappears...

Any other nicknames of note out there?

Years ago when I worked at Saipem/Sonsub we had a really fat guy that we called flash… because he was slow AF, no task was ever completed with any sense of urgency. I was on the ROV side of the house, he was risers.
I just remembered another one. Guy nicknamed Sloth because he moved at that pace. Also, Rat because the dude seldom showered and it was like drawing a shit-straw if you had to hot-rack with him.

We had one guy that was so bad we didn’t use his name or bother with a real nickname… just used his badge number, 56961..later shortened to Old’56… FWIW I have to really think about it to recall my old badge number, his on the other hand, 2nd nature.

Only one I can think of was one of the Marines's wives who we referred to as Thumb. She had absolutely no shape to her body, her face was round and flat... she just really looked like a thumb so it stuck. I remember he being called Foot a few times as well.
