We have jailers who wear guns to escort prisoners to the hospitals and such. The department gives them vests that say “sheriff” on the back and they look exactly like real cops. It’s incredible how stupid it is to allow that.

I haven’t researched it but I imagine this type of shit happens ALOT….

I can’t for the life of me understand what was going through this kids brain. He looks a bit slow.

It happens quite often to varying degrees of egregiousness.
Are they sworn?

Nope, there is a law in Texas which allows arming detention officers and prison guards for the transport of prisoners. They are just licensed jailers with zero authority. Before the liberals took over they all wore white shirts and dickies so they could not be mistaken as police. The liberal administration gave them all uniforms just like the certified officers wear to make them feel like they are equal. It’s sickening to say the least.

I remember a news story about a dude back in Delaware using his cell phone in his windshield with some sort of red and blue flashing light app to pull people over. Apparently he got a couple women and raped them doing it or some shit…

I thought to myself, how ****ing dumb do you gotta be to pull over for something that stupidly obvious…

I’m sure every state is different… but in that particular state you can call 911 to verify law enforcement is making a stop on you. You also have the right to wait and pull over in a well lit area if you feel unsafe…. Situation being reasonable Of course.

There have been a few instances down here when jailers or security guards would pull people over and play the role. Eventually they stop the wrong person, but I don’t want to even think about the amount of impersonating that happens.

I notice a lot of the road construction crews around here put a 'Sheriff' or 'Police' sticker on their personal vehicles. I always wonder how that is legal.

There is a feller on YouTube that is a "bounty hunter". Not entirely sure of his background or whatever, but when he goes to work, he wears full vest, gear, etc. with a badge on it. Not sure what badge says, but he certainly dresses the part. I've always wondered how long until he catches the wrong person with that garb on. Also not sure what legal protections or authority bounty hunters have?? Most of the shorts I've watched from him, he is collecting very low information folks. Like two-teeth meth-head types.
