Testing Fuel Pumps?

I recently bought an 03 tank that came with the GT pumps. The guy said the pumps were working fine, but Im paranoid about these things. In about a week my new motor goes in the car and I wanted to swap the tank before hand.

Is there anyway to test the pumps before I put in the new engine? BTW the current motor is down. Thanks

Yes, you can pull them out, connect them to a power source and have them pump a liter or two of gasoline. Then do the math and figure out if they are flowing the advertised rate.
