The '5-Oh's of 5.0's[POLICE]

I can remember back in the mid to late 80's a good many
police agency using the Mustangs as pursuit vehicles. I've
seen the latest Impala replacing the Crown Vic nationwide,
and some LEA's bought a good many of the last Camaro's.

Here's some Stang cop cars I found on the web.

Nebraska Highway Patrol circa 1992

South Carolina Highway Patrol circa 1993

All of these looked like actual pursuit vehicles, not DARE cars.

I remember those Special Service stangs lining up along entrance ramps on I-4 outside of Orlando in those days. I have family there, and the interstates and freeways would be littered with those Stangs in that time. Think about it. You have a badge, a gun, a Miami-Vice hairdoo....and a 5 speed Fox. Talk about a real job! That would be the best:beer:
