The frames look legit ... it looks like the guy filming released the record button, or accidentally turned it off right as the explosion happened. If you advance each frame with a movie editing program, you can actually see the flames start to fly out before the explosion rocks him.
Flames came out his filter area. Ck again and he blew his cover off in the end of the clip. Go in slowmo and see flames starting to appear from the intake.
It is not the engine blowing. It is an external fire source. So if he is using nitrous that is a nitrous blow back. Not a big deal. If it were a big deal the guy wouldnt have said "Now thats what I'm talking about"!
