Just had this idea for a thread where you name something that you really want to buy or are interested in, say a particular car or product, and let's see if any members have it or can comment on it and what it's like to own it or if it is worth owning to begin with, etc. The good, the bad, and the unique basically. I'm thinking mainly automotive but it can expand to other products if anyone finds it interesting.

Here's some examples of cars I'd like to get my hands on in the future so I'm curious who has had experience with these vehicles:

-FD RX-7
-Lancia Delta
-Focus RS
-Porsche 944/928
-F150 Raptor

Okay, I guess the thread will just be published before I'm done with it lol. Mods, can you fix the thread title or open it so I can edit it? I wasn't done with it but I'm thinking something like "The I want it, who's had it thread"

I’ve driven a Focus ST, it’s obviously the baby dick of the two. However I loved it, it’s so cool to drive something slow fast versus something fast slow. The AWD in the RS I can imagine is a blast. His name is escaping me right now, but he has an RS, and or did.

I test drove quite a few Raptors before I decided to get my F250. I loved the 2014 Raptors. They rode like a tank for me, but that’s their purpose is to hoon around and jump shit. I’ve personally never been inside a newer Raptor, or driven one. So I can’t speak to those. @mysticsvt i know has one. He can touch on that!

I'd go to the Fordraptorforum.com and ask that question to get a legit answer. I had ordered a 2021 84k Gen3 but timing was around Covid and Shutdowns and it got cancelled. Following year there wasn't an LFG option so I opted for a local used yet mint low mileage 2020 and still paid MSRP. Raptor prices are crazy especially if you want to get into an R Model. But non R models are better now and will hopefully get better still. Good question to ask is geographical location to use the truck as it was intended to be used. The number of events in Western America are greatly higher than in Eastern America. That would determine if you were gonna get your money's worth. Doesn't mean it won't be worth it to you if you don't. I don't offroad mine, live in Charleston where one isn't suited for the environment. I use my bed a good bit but that's about it. I still always wanted one and it was a Shelby or a Raptor. When I got the truck I loved it so much my Mustang literally sat in the garage. 2015 Comp Orange GT with 600 at the wheel, MINT, every mod I wanted with about 15k miles on it. I had ZERO desire to even drive it. Firm believer that once you get into a Truck you will not NOT own a Truck ever again, even if you have a toy in the garage. I think I'll trade it in on a Gen3 in a few years...maybe find a used R at a good price. Thought about wrapping it in a different color when I tire of it...we'll see.

I owned 4 of them. Fast as hell and they ride great were very reliable for me. Downside was the air shocks which made them ride great but were expensive to repair and the spring conversion made them ride way rougher.
I have a 97 Town Car with air suspension. Amazingly, at 177k miles the air springs are still ok. I do have a set of coil springs in the trunk for when I need them.

Mark VIIIs have always been a car I wanted. Maybe one day.

Want:
1) Ducati Hypermotard
2) 1911 (Nighthawk Custom or Wilson Combat)

Did you see Ducati just released a 698 Hypermotard? I know there's someone here who has a Hyper also. @JPKII

Here/there/some other silly place
Only thing I want this day and age is a 1991 Bugatti EB 110.

My parents had a Mark VIII 1996 it was a good car until it got rear ended and so started popping all sort of garbage of trunk open, and drivers door ajar when both was firmly latched. After 3 trips on trying to correct that, they traded it in on the brand new 2001 F-150 supercrew.

I've owned many 1911's, never either of those two brands but I do own a few SVI guns (1911 and 2011) and have handled and shot the Nighthawk before. I'd say for the amount of money on those two, spend a bit more and get a full custom SVI (www.sviguns.com) and never look back. They are hands down the nicest you can get, and nothing beats shooting a 1911!

I wish I could have a Raptor but due to the size/weight of my boat I'm stuck in a 2500 HD. My best friend has a Raptor and loves it but he is thinking he wants to trade it in on a 3/4 ton as well. The only time I haven't had a truck was when my wife had a Tahoe for her daily so I had a Mustang GT for mine... but then my kids got too big for the back seat so I went back to trucks.

I've always wanted a C5 Z06. I've been in love with that car since I saw it on the cover of Motor Trend.

Before that was the regular C5 which I may opt for since the targa top is appealing to me.

I am actually getting close to buying on in the next year or so. When the time comes I'll see what I can get.

Yes I know the interior isn't that great but I don't care and the seats will get tossed for some Recaros.
