[QUOTE="01SVTSnake, post: 14639422, member: 53102"] While comparing it and saying its only got 50hp more is just look at it from one angle. The PR says north of 600 so 625-650 isn't out of the question. This car will lighter, have improved aero dynamics, suspension, braking, body materials and design etc. This car will should run laps around the old one. I saw someone post somewhere that this is not another retro tribute to the 60s and 05 cars, but how it would be today if this was the first design. They kept the FGT feel with the front end nicely and went wild on the back end. Its a bold style but I think they hit it spot on. A twin turbo 8 cylinder power plant would been nice, but the V6 is smaller, lighter, cheaper, and can be just as fast so thats a big part of it. Don't forget too we have rules going in next year that a manufacturer selling cars in the USA has to average 35mpg in their fleet. The V6 will be less of a burden towards that than a V8. I am sure this engine isn't near its maximum capability either. Some tuning, new turbos, exhaust and I could see it laying down over 750 at the wheels Most of the cars benchmarking around 1000HP or slightly below cost near 1 million dollars (koeniggsegg, laferrari, mclaren p1, 918, Pagani Huayra etc) Hell even the 700hp catergory is hovering around 450K now.
