SCT TV : SPEED FREAKS INC - 1122 Horsepower 1998 Mustang Cobra
Before we added 2nd injector to throttle body for meth. single injector was maxing out
!st run at the track with Mccloud twin disc clutch,aluminum bell housing 207 amp alternator(need the thicker shaft ..kept bending the shaft on stock)cracked the bell housing,blew the clutch,bent the shaft onalternator and surged the SC.shut down at 1/8 mile coasted to 1/4 broken 13.8 @ 70 mph Now with new quick time steel bell housing and Spec twin disc clutch still breaking in clutch

Cool,thanks for the link, what tranny you running, i have a g force t 5 with a clutch masters stage 3 clutch and that heavy ass mccleod bell, hows the quick time bell, i was checking that out.

So far so good with the bell housing and New Spec clutch Had to have the SC rebuilt $850.00
I am running a Tremec T56 Cobra R 6 speed with 26 spline in put shaft and stronger innerds,Gregs aluminum drive shaft and 410 Eaton posi with metal clutch pacs.
31 spline Mosher axels with c-clip eliminators drive shaft loop,1/2 rear studs .6 pt Strange adjustable shocks and struts,caster camber plates.upper and lower control arms.sub frame connectors,,tublar K member with A frames etc, also 6 pt roll bar bolted and welded...sure helps to smooth out the ride even on road racing

Does anybody know what stock 95 Cobra's put down to the rear wheels? I'm on a tight budget so dont have the cash to get it dynoed but my 5Liter Cobra is basically stock just an xpipe n throttle body anybody got any estimates to rear wheel horsepower>?

They usually put down in the neighborhood of 230-240rwhp/275-285rwtq. stock. With your X-pipe and throttle body, you should have picked up about 5hp and more than 5tq. peak.

Thanks Cobraman1024, so then ford rating the 95 Cobras at 240hp was actually higher? Just like the 03-04 Cobras were underrated.

Yeah, the 94/95 Cobras were factory rated 5hp more than the 93 Cobra only because of the electric fan. The magazines out there that tested these cars when new suggested that they were actually putting out about 270-275hp at the flywheel.

I have read some magazines claiming that the 94/95 Cobras made 280flywheel horsepower, and when I raced at the 1/8th mile track my Cobra was beating 99-04 GT's Stock and I beat one 97 Cobra...My 1/8th was 9.24 at best with 75mph and I thought that was impressive for only 240hp..but didnt make sense because the New Edge GT's make 260? But now i'm saving up to get some dyno pulls!
