The Next Ford Mustang: Everything We Know

According to sources familiar with the strategy, but not connected to Ford, the CD6 Mustang replacement has been delayed by several years. When it arrives, it will be larger than the current car, closer to the Dodge Challenger in overall size if not girth.

I know it's likely nonsense, but was surprised to read this in an Automobile magazine article. I wish they would bring back the hatchback and keep the current size. That would make it much more usable.

I will agree with the hatch. Both this and the Toyobaru twins would benefit greatly from a hatch vs tiny trunk opening. Even with my SN95, I am more limited with the opening than the size.

30 years of tetris and I still cant get it to fit!

(unless I cheat and drop the seats and push it in)

94-98 = 5 years
99-04 = 6 years
05-09 = 5 years
10-14 = 5 years
15-2X = 5+ years

If Ford resorts to a second mid-cycle enhancement instead of a full platform update, it's not that out of the ordinary. That part I can believe. 94-04 and 05-14 went that route.

But please don't go pigfat. Challengers and Camaros already have that distinction, let them keep it.
