The Texas Mile

Has anyone run this event? www.texasmile.com

There's a link on that page to a YouTube video ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=tS1sAa8syzg ) of an assortment of vehicles running the mile. There's a silver Gen 2 doing a 147mph pass and I was wondering if anyone knew who that was, or if the guy posts here.

It's too bad they don't have something like this in California. I think it would be a blast to get in a bunch of top speed runs!

A couple of my Subaru buddies do that. They drive from Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio to see how they do. I think one guy is shooting for 160+(from Dallas). Last year one dude in a Subie wagon hit 155...

Most folks there are pretty cool from what I've been told. It's a nice laid back atmosphere, with the usual trash talking.
