I have an 03 silver vert. I just had a rear tire blowout (poor Mickeys). The ol' lady gave me the "ok" for a set of rims/tires. I'm pretty much set on 17x10.5 for the rears (I have the original cobra rims-not chrome). I also decided to go inexpensive bcause I see a KB or Whipple in my near future. After 8 hours of forum searching, my choice would have been BBS RKs (even though they are pricey).
I guess my question is, should I just find a non chrome 17.5 for the rear and save money, get chrome or anthracite fr500s, chrome cobras, or just keep the 295 rears-or any others? I really love the look of the 315s.
Sorry fro the long post. This decision is killing me.

If you want to save $, AFS is shipping for free right now.. i bought two 17x10.5 non-chrome replica's for 380-400. Can't remember exact price. I figure it's a smart move stop-gap to buying all 4 rims in 18"s, when i'm ready to make the next move i can sell tehse 17x10.5's fast (and my 9" originals probably can be sold for $50-100 a rim too).

I'd get the 10.5 machined rears and call it a day. I love those wheels on silver, if the car is slammed.

Finding the right wheels for "your needs" is always a time consuming ordeal and takes a lot of research & time, LOL!!!! GL & post some pics when you get the new wheels! :)

Sorry fro the long post. This decision is killing me.

Be advised you can put 315/35/17 Nitto NT555 or NT555Rs (Drag Radials) on your 17x9 factory wheel without issue. This will save you the most money as no extra rims are required. I did it until I was ready to get the wheels I wanted and lots of others have done it, so that's how I knew the tires would fit. This way you can continue to save money for your bigger blower. Also, keep an eye on the market as someone will be selling 10.5s for the rear if you still want some later on down the line to help put the power of your bigger blower to the ground.

FYI, BBS RKs were just in the market a little bit ago. I believe two members were selling them.

Thanks for all the replies! Great looking cobra SF4. I like the chrome on yours as well beave.
I appreciate the heads up on the sale at AFS. I will look into that. I will also look in the market.
My car is definitely slammed and darkened. I will post pics soon (No pics with the donut on the rear).
