Thermostat help?

Hello,
What is the stock thermostat temp setting and which temp is recommend, if any, to change to. I live in sunny south florida.

I think we all agreed it was a 180 degree and that changing to a lower really didnt help our Terminators that much...was never really worth it to me...but thats just my opinion.

I do believe the stock T-stat is a 180. We carry a replacement of a 160.

I think all enhanced boost cars should run the 160 stat.........
however...... you MUST reprogram the kick point on the electric cooling fan or it is a total waste of time.
It appears almost all 32v ford heads even the newer "tick free" heads do not cool like they should.
Apten cooling mod a very very good idea.

Robert Yates when prepping fr500 crate motors for Daytona prototype 24 hour competition had trouble getting the air out of the back of the left head....
I think they did some drilling to make sure they got all the air out.
I would just do the first three
1...160 stat
2....reprogram cooling fan kick point
3....Apten cooling mod(left head)
