thinking about an 04.. what to look for?

I found an 04 for 5k with just a smidge over 100k miles. I have had several mechanics look at it and the only thing wrong with it are front wheel bearings and a leaking cv axel seal on the drivers side. The interiror is imacualte.. its the 4 door hatch and has the blue interiror and is silver.

im not new to this site as I used to have an 01 L.

Is there anything i need to look at/for when buying this.. I am picking it up in the morning. any info before then would be great.

I dont plan on modding it as I got tired of modding the L, plus the wallet and the ife are extremly negative about another project vehicle. I think I will honor her wishes this time around.

front wheel bearings are normal and tear...and cv axle boot torn is fairly normal and tear as well.


make sure the timing belt has been done and that none of the gears grind.

if you havent already, do a compression test.



then...turbo the hell out of it
