I'm thinking about going to an automatic transmission for bracket and E.T. drag racing. Anyone have any opinions on this move or know someone looking to unload a 4r70w?

As you know, manuals are fun on the streets but you can't beat the autos for drag racing. I had a custom sportsman block with a KB on top in my 04 vert with an auto with the piece you put in the raise the shifting pressure, (can't think of it, getting old), and 410's and it surpriced many 03-04 cobra guys off of the line. I say go for it!!
You will love it. So consistent at the track. I had a C4 and never looked back. If you drive it a lot on the highway/street , then you want the over drive
We had a 4r70w for a while but it sold in the last 6 months.
As for going to an auto go for it. But only if you are concerned about consistency. If you are worried about ET then I would stay with a healthy stick shift.
