Unless your planning on towing or hauling something, why? You've got the baddest ride for the price. Your car is what I would be driving if I didn't need a tow vehicle. Just my 2 cents.
Good luck either way in your decision.

He probably got smoked by an L and decided he's better off with one. JK...It's nice to see someone want to switch to this side though.

lol! actually i do need a truck but I just cant see owning anything that cant go fast so the lightning is the best bang for the buck. and anyway even though ive owned alot of diffrent cars there is just something about svt fords that i love.

I went from a 2003 Lightning to a 2004 Z06, and wouldn't even consider looking back.

I added a Lightning to let the Corvette have company in the garage.

Not much of a comparison really except both offer serious grins
and a fun factor. They just take different routes to get there.

If the Sti is to remain the 'DD', you won't feel the gas mileage
issue as much. The Supercharger is quite intoxicating and
it's just plain damn fun to drive these trucks.

If you want a 2002 Black Ford SVT Lightning with only 5k miles, i'll trade you for your z06! Let me know! =)

IMO you will be happy when/if you get an L. I loved driving down the highway towing my 2wd Pre-runner and passing people....should have seen the looks on their faces!!!

STi and L...
i wouldn't want any other cars if i had those 2

first of all, STi and L are both really quick. STi can be driven all year; L can be in 11 second car and tow bunch of things and can be daily driver

you are a one lucky b@$t@rd

Thats my thinking exactly, put snow tires on the sti and i have a car that can run in the 12's with some cheap mods and still drive through a ton of snow in theses crappy ny winters with no problem. Then have the L for hauling and towing things, and we all know how fast they are and can be made to be.
Hopefully Ill be announcing the new truck soon.
