Sixth gear is generally useless at anything other than attempting to save gas.
You're such a tool. Who didn't get back to who about this bet? For transparency's sake so the rest of the people here know what's happening you got a PM almost a month ago but I didn't hear back from you. If you know how to read I even conceded partly to your dragstrip demands on the bet and suggested a mod for each car (likely DR's) for the best results from each car when they go.
You had your chance for this bet, I heard nothing and knowing now you have no reason to run your car stock against a ZR1 stock I'm done AFA this bet is concerned. Sounds to me you lack the confidence that your GT500 can win against a ZR1 no wonder I heard nothing back from you.
As for your allocation, whether you found one or not again what do I care? Your money do whatever the **** you want with it. Nowhere did I ever say I was getting a new GT500 I'm shopping for a new ZR1 if I can find one. I'll consider a GT500 only if I can't find a ZR1 and I get all the details and performance stats on a GT500 and they are favorable. You want to get one even before you know what it can do...…………...your loss bucko if the car ends up being a dud.
All those posts mentioning your pencil dick DCT friend...…………...seesh forget a crush, sounds like you and him must share a room together. Just stay in there and don't come out.
Hopefully this new Tremec DCT has a nice close ratio . My GTR and R8 had super close ratio gears without the overdrive . R8 shits into 5th gear at around 110mph , runs from 6800-8900rpms
Google is your friend.
TR-9070 DCT 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission
Not 100% sure but the Shelby I believe has the A tranny with those ratios, if not then it's the other one.
It may not have 3 overdrive gears, 5th gear could be 1:1.
I don't think fuel economy factored into the gear ratios. This was the case in 13/14 GT500 with the useless 6th gear, that car had no gas guzzler tax, fast forward to the 2020 GT500, seeing that it has the highest gas guzzler tax ($2600) of any of its other competitors', says to me that fuel economy was not a priority when this car was conceived.
Both gear sets listed have 3 od

Tremec bothered to build a box with 3 OD gears, and like I said, the C7 M7 is the same way. There's obviously some consistent thought process there.
How many transmissions with more than 6 gears have less than 3 od?
ok, does it change my point if its 2 or 3 overdrives though? What's the point of having that many gears when only 4 (maybe 5) are actually providing good acceleration?

The '13/'14 had a $1300 gas guzzler tax. The '11/'12 did not have a gas guzzler tax.
