Went last night and ran a couple times.. ended up with

1st run

60'...2.4
e.t...14.7
mph..100.3

2nd run

60'...2.2
e.t...14.6
mph..100.4

I am on street tires, but I figured my e.t's would be a little better  my mods are midpipe, catback, and 3.73 gear.

you should be in the high 13s atleast..like 13.7 or 13.8

that's what i thought.. my friend has a built gt putting down 325/350tq and could only muster a 13.8 @ 103. I am a little more than 1000' above sea level. But I didn't think that would matter a whole lot..

As said above. Instead of 'Dumping' your clutch.

Rev up to about 3500 and feather the clutch, and don't do a burnout. Your wasting tread and time. Just do enough to kick all the rocks off of your tires.

And If you can help it, try to dodge the water box.

I see your from Kansas, is that the KC area (KCIR)? If so, yes the DA is usually pretty horrible, but your MPH says that you should be a pretty easy high 13. Not to be a prick, but everyone else is thinking the same thing here...most likely the driver mod. As stated above the 60' is not good and my guess would be the shifts are less than ideal. I have a buddy that runs 105mph traps but barely breaks into the 13's, and his shifting is pretty horrible. I want to say drive it like you stole it, but the truth is once you get comfortable you can shift very quickly without really just flat tearing the hell out it!! But since you are probably new to this, just drive the crap out it a time or two!! Also some new guys tend to want to shift too late in the RPM range thinking that's helping. What RPM are you shifting at?

I race at Bandimere 5250 above sea level. Stock as a rock with 2.1 60's the car was running 14.8 at 98, this was with 245/45/17 nittos with 25,000 miles on them.

I leave around 3200-3500 now, and slip the clutch until it grabs, then get goin. I'm now on 275/40/17 nitto dr's, and my 60 ft has improved by lowering the tire pressure to about 18 psi. (now 1.8 to 1.9)

Don't be afraid to run these cars out, I leave decently for having a stock diff and rev high even with a stock valvetrain.

Car has 152,000 on it, takes a beating and keeps asking for more. Asks for the 100 shot like it needs a fix :rolling:

the first 60' isnt too bad... it the beginning of 2nd gear that gets me. I had to completely let out to let 2nd shift get traction.. both times

i am slipping out from about 2k rpm... shifting 6200-6500 rpm and i have made 8-10 runs with this car.

Slip the clutch out from 2500 and start going up each time till you find when it is too much.

You will have to smooth out the 1-2 shift a little to get it to stop spinning.

Shift at redline.
