throwout bearing sleeve

just had my transmission replaced under warranty. the sleeve the throwout bearing rides on was cracked and instead of replacing it SVT instructed dealer to replace entire trans and throwout bearing. ???
The dealer told me that they had a few 03's with same problem.
i never heard of it
I was a bit worried cause of my mods but it didnt have any effect even though i have the short throw shifter.

Well I would have taken the shifter off before going in to save trouble, but its cool that they didnt give you any shit. Make sure you get your old shifter back and they dont try to use a new OEM shifter!

Seems to me it's a fairly common problem too, it's so dumb they replace the whole transmission but what can you do. Haha, will be nice when my TOB goes out right before warranty expires so I get a new free transmission :rockon:
