I am going to take my car to the dealer for some warranty work in the next couple of weeks. I have the throwout bearing chirp, stall problem, and condensation in both fog lights (one is blown because of this). Will they repair all of these problems at once? My local shop/tuner has a freind at the SVT dealer that will overlook some of the mods. I will put the stock midpipe back on, but I hope that is all I need to swap out. Has anyone had these problems fixed under warranty with mods?

What are the TSB numbers for the tob and stall problems?

Go ahead and take off the pulley and idler. That is another 30 minutes of work, to keep a warranty that could save you thousands.

Pulley and Idler definately a "no-no" if you dont have prior knowledge of the dealerships service stance on them.

Hell, the may even claim the T/O bearing chirp is due to the Triax, which we know is not that case, but try proving that to them or the regional ford rep....

I see your in Raleigh, is Randy sending you to Capital Ford by chance, or is it the one up near Wake Forest?

Let us know how the service goes with them.........

If you schedule service in advance and "make them up a list" then most likely they wiill handle everything in the same visit.

If you have a "good" dealer they might overlook all of your mods (mine did, even with my pulley, chip and ported blower), but here's the rub. If they call in a regional SVT rep it doesn't matter how mod-friendly your dealer is. SVT has the final say. So to be safe you should remove all of the mods that are considered not warrantee safe. That would include the pulley, idler and, of course, the mid-pipe. And just so you know, even mods like a shifter and CAI/RAI can become an issue if the SVT rep or dealer wants to play nasty. You will have to make your own decision as to what you want to bring to the dealer as far as mods.

I am going to find out just how "mod friendly" they are before I even show them my car.

Romans8:28 - I think I will go to Capital. Ray has a friend there that deals with the SVT service. Randy has mentioned Wakefield (WakeForest) also does some warranty work with them. I will never go to Crossroads Ford for anything. If my car broke down in their service lot, I would have it towed to another dealer/shop. Their service manager is the biggest idiot I have ever met. After my first and last visit to their service center, he threatened to have the police come escort me out of the building. Oh well, its a long story and will get this thread off topic.

CobraBob - There is no way it could have been the triax. I have them great little shifter gaskets that some guy sales. lol

Keep me posted on how it goes with Capital, I have heard they are good from several people. You will have to tell me about your "CrossRoads experience sometime it sounds like a great story ;)

FYI...if you take it in for the "stall", they may freak out about your Diablo tune. If anything, they are going to wipe it out and put their tune with the stall fix back in it.

I would put my stock tune back in, especially if I removed the pulley. My tuner has a copy of my tune that I can reflash after they fix the stall.

I have had my car cut off at 70+ mph about 6 times now and it is not fun. I have also had it cut off at 55 mph in a sharp curve just before a stop sign. I almost went off of the road into a 5 ft deep ditch. The stall issue is a major safety issue and ford should be required to repair it no matter what the circumstances are.

Stngstr - I am the guy that bought your k&n fipk from your GT. I only had it for about a 2 weeks, before I traded my GT for a Cobra. I was able to remove it and sale it to someone else though.
