Shortly after the new clutch got installed the U-Joint that connects the yoke & d/s started squealing.

My questions are, has anyone done this without draining the trans fluid first?
Is it guaranteed to leak once I remove the d/s?

Just trying to figure out if it's a must that I drain the tranny before I tackle the job...

I could've sworn that I have read somewhere that if you rotate the d/s while removing it from the tranny it won't leak I just can't find that link anymore.

Ok cool, that sounds much better than having to drain all the fluid and then refill it. I'm glad I asked this question.

When I crawled under the car yesterday I only jacked the rear and was thinking to myself "Damn I need a set of jack stands for the front too". I won't bother getting jack stands for the front right this minute.

Thanks a lot 98SVT.
