Wondering for guys that can data log or have tuned their own car how much timing you are running at WOT at 4000, 5000 ,6000 rpm? I know most can run 28 deg, but how early is all 28 coming in?

Less than 24hrs you expect to have an answer. People have lives ya know.

28* is moderate. Some go as high as 32-34** on pump gas.

For me I have 34* from idle to about 5500ish then its 32* to 7300.

Thanks for the info. B heads seem to take more timing for some reason. I am getting audible detonation if I go over 24 at 4000 and over 26 at 5000. I can run 28 at 6000 just fine as long as its 24@4000 and 26@5000. Thats why I am wondering if guys are able to run max timing as far down as 4000 rpm.

Sounds like other issues. If you can run more timing in higher rpms and not have the same or even less in the lower rpms tells me it could be a bad COP or a lean condition. What the a/f at those rpm levels? Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? have you checked all the plugs? I'd make a run then pull all 8 plugs and see if you can isolate to one cylinder.
