Would there be a problem running a 275 (10" rim) width 27.6" tall tire out back? I believe the stockers are 25.7 or so.

And up front a 255 (on an 8") at 27" high? I just have the smaller of the drop eibachs. :-D

275 is bottomline too narrow for a 10"
you should at least go with a 295. with a 275 on a 10" i'd be worried about the wheel sticking out past the tire.

285/30 is 26.7"
295/40 (probably way too big) 29.3"

Im going more for look than speed here.
The tires I want are the KDW's, if I have to switch brands, I guess I will, but Id like to stick with them.

Edit, I guess I could also do the 8" in the back, but Id obviously like to keep it at the 10".

I have 275 on my 10" rim and the tire is slightly smaller than the rim. It looks ok kinda but I would have preferred to have at least 295s which will be when these need replaced.

Not the best pic in the world but you get the idea of what it looks like...

a 295 40/18 is a Lightning tire. way too tall

you need either a 295/35 or 295/30, depending on what front tire you go with.

Don't get much taller than stock on the rear. I have some Draglites with 275/60/15 tire on the rear which is almost 28". It'll throw the ABS light after about 2 blocks of driving. The reason is that the rear wheels rotate much slower than the fronts.

with 27.5 inch tall tires you'd have worse than stock gearing.

Nope.

Im not concerned about the performance, really. Just something to get me to work and my son around. Its still a while out, but I wanted to get an idea of the prices for the tires.

I would guess thats more a problem when the fronts are a bit smaller than the rears. Not so much when theyre pretty damn close.

Ill get a programmer if I need too.
