Tire size for lowered fox body?

I am installing H&R race springs on my 92 GT this weekend and have also purchased a set of 17x9 wheels and am wondering what would be the best tire set up. I currently have 245/45/17's on it now, which I know will fit without rubbing after I lower my car. Should I go with a bigger tire size? I don't want any rubbing. What is the biggest size I can go with? Anyone with a lowered fox, with 17x9 wheels, please let me know what size tire you are running, along with your spring set-up and if you also have pics that would be great. Thanks.

You should be able to fit 275/40/17 on it with no problems and they will look better then the 245's on 17x9 wheel.

I run 275 40 17 lowered with steeda sport springs and I have no problems. I'm going to try a 315 35 17 on a 10.5 rim sometime this summer.

over on foxbodyforum.com, there is a foxbody running a 315 on a 10.5 inch rim. it looks good and the only mods are a beaten inner fenderwell. he has adjustable lower control arms too. here a pic
