I have a 2007 Shelby. Had my wheels widened to 11" at Weld Craft. Looking for my options on tires and sizes. Do I go with 335's or 345's?
35 or 30? Can anybody recommend a tire? It is a daily driver with 600 hp. No track showings. I just want to hook up and have fun. Thanks

Well, first off, neither a 335 or a 345 should be going on an 11" rim. Ideally, you would want at least an 11.5" rim with a 12" width being ideal for that tire width.

Even if you were to go ahead and put either tire on that rim, I doubt you are going to get it to fit without some significant work.

If it were me, I'd go with something like a 305/35-18.

I run Nitto 335/30/18 on 11" rims. You need an adjustable panhard bar to center the axle and you will have about 3/8 clearance. I had to run the E brakes cables to the inside of control arms . Nittos run a tad small and will fit and wear fine. I'd prefer a 335/35/18 but can't find that size.

Do you know what the backspace and offset is with the 11" stockers?

I'm currently running M/T 345/35/18's on 11" widened stockers. According to M/T, this is the minimum rim size for this particular tire. My suspension is stiffened up and I run these with a very rare rub turning up or down hills or driveways. I've also run these at the strip with no rubbing. I would not recommend this size tire for a daily driver UNLESS you add a 1/4" spacer (you'll need longer studs to be safe). IMHO, with the addition of an adjustable panhard bar, you would not have any rubbing issues at all. With the 335's you could probably add a 1/8" spacer and be just as safe. Probably get away without changing the studs too.
If you don't want spacers then I would suggest the new NT05R 315/40/18 or the
M&H 325/40/18's. You should have no issues with these.

The stock wheels widened to 11" by Weldcraft produce an 8.5" back space.

What ever you do, post pics.

I have 11" CCW's and will be running the 315 40 18 NT05R's the feel like an awesomely sticky tire. I have a 315 30 m/t on the wheels now but they are just way too short for any kind of traction honestly.

I am with GarageLogic on this...an 11" wheel won't support a non D/R 335/345 tire properly. A lot of drag radials have softer sidewall for off the line bite and some even run narrow. If you want to run a road race setup than you really don't want to ge beyond a 305/315 out back.

I see alot of post for 18" rims whats the widest you can go on a 19" stock rim and tire on a 2010? If anyone has pics that would be huge.
Thanks

Three issues:
1. I can't figure out how you are running them as the foot print is 13.4". Is there a big overhang?
2. I looked at Nitto's web page and they don't make that size any more. They do make a 285/35/18 with a 11.22" footprint. I would like to go bigger but with 11" wheels the 11.22 footprint looks about right.
3 My other option is the NTO5 in 295/35/18 with a 11.66" footprint. Less sticky but 1/2" bigger.
Any thoughts?
