Tire Size???

I am selling my 99 GT to a friend. I am putting new tires on the car as part of a deal, I get to drive the GT until my Cobra is in.
Will 275s work on stock 17x8 wheels or should I go with 255s?

275's will work,,Some brands fit better then others..

I have seen 315/35/17 drag radials on stock 03 rims..really didn't fit too good.

I have, but I have the Cobra-R (2000) Rims (9.5x18) with 275s in the front and 295's in the rear. No clearance problems (on my lowered 2001 I did have a tiny bit of rubbing when someone was in the back seat, so I just removed the back seat, problem solved.

Stock 03' 4X4 is high enough no rubbing what so ever.
