Tires for 19" wheels

Im looking at the 285/35-19 Continental ExtremeContact DW tires for 19x10 wheels and 275/35-19 Continental ExtremeContact DW tires for 19x8.5 wheels.

Im considering 19" instead. So probably gonna go with 285/35/19 in rear and 275/35/19 in front Continental ExtremeContact DW. That puts me at 26.9" tall in the rear and 26.6" in the front.

mount these ties on 19" MMD Kage Wheels, and have them powdercoated in "City Lights"

Should i jump up to a 40 sidewall instead of a 35. the 40 would put the rear at 28" tall and the front at 27.7"

Im looking at the 285/40-18 Continental ExtremeContact DW tires for 18x10 wheels and 255/45-18 Continental ExtremeContact DW tires for 18x9 wheels. Now both the front and rear tires are 27" tall.

Would there be any downside to going to a wider front tire (275/40-18) thats only 26.7" tall. Im pretty sure a 275 would fit nicely on a 18x9. Thanks!
See what the manufacturer lists as the range of wheel widths for that size tire. If the 275 is shown to fit a 9-10" wheel, you can do it.

All I keep hearing is that these are great asymmetrical tires on par with the pirelli's
I've heard most people say they are better. Many reviews put the Conti DW as a budget tire to the Michelin Pilot Super Sports in terms of performance.

Are you lowered at all? If you are lowered, stick with the 35 series. on the 285. And depending on how much you are lowered, the 35 series on the 275 may be good as well.

The MMD cage wheels come in 19x10 and 19x8.5 so hopefully a 275 will fit that wheel. Don't really want a 255 on the front, they only make a 255/40/19 in those tires and would be 27" tall in front with 26.9" tall in rear on 285/35/19. I just prefer the wider tires up front.

You can out a 295 on the rear. Or the Nitto NT05R 305 will fit a 10" wheels.

I wouldn't put a 275 on a 8.5 wheel

Your going to need at least a 9" rim to run a 275 upfront. Just about every tire manufacture requires at least a 9" wide wheel to run there 275's.

So you'll have to settle for the smaller tire or run a different rim.
