I wonder why people think Universal healthcare will work here when its a crappy system everywhere else. Countries that have it almost universally have very high tax rates, long wait times for procedures, and poor medical service. It seems to be one of the lynchpins of the Democrat party though, but it strikes me as a horrendously bad idea and a direct step towards socialism and a welfare state.

I think I'm more of a libertarian, but in my eyes, the Republicans are definitely the lesser of the 2 evils here.

I wonder how many people would stay democrat if they really knew what they stood for? Of course we'll never know because the Liberal media would never let this kind of thing see the light of day...

To anybody that has no clue...

The terms Liberal and Conservative mean just that. Liberal as in more Govn't control and Conservative as less Govn't control. If you are for MORE control in your life coming from the Gonv't then by all means, vote democrat. If you're smart then you should vote Republican for LESS Govn't control in your life. There are exceptions to this rule however but you get the idea...i hope.

Actually, liberal or conservative ideologies used to refer to economic policies - i.e., they were liberal or conservative spenders.

Conservative, these days, means more government control (with the current President in the White House, I don't know how you managed to post what you did with a straight face unless you did so while eating lead paint chips) on the politician side of things; while on the citizen/voter side of things, it means you'll instantly believe and pass along any spam email that arrives in your inbox.

And I hardly think "getting a clue" means being educated by emails.

I do agree with # 2 in that God is NOT our highest authority. It scares me to think that our leader needs to have a talk with God when dealing with our country.

And I agree that Bush is the worst president atleast in my life time

What a joke.

Its the conservatives who are the most liberal spenders of tax payer money. Our national debt has sky rocketed. They just don't spend in on the taxpayer!...
Not true Conservatives, only these Shrbya Nutswingers & basically every Republican in the House & Senate as of late who'd rather be associated with voting like Bush rather than like a true conservative such as Ronald Reagan.

Government has GROWN under Bush....
Such as never before, Shrubya makes Clintoon look like a conservative, fiscally speaking.

the right to vote without a picture ID, etc...
only so dead :read: people & illegal aliens can't vote, plain & simple.

Then you'd have trouble with every sitting President in our country's history, for the simple fact that they have all publicly prayed & asked God for intervention on heated issues.

I shouldnt have to prove this with any sources, these is too easily common knowledge.

jamz , once again you get god defensive right away instead of reading. I didn't ask for proof of sources. I am aware of such actions by present and past presidents. I'll repeat ,...It scares me to think that our leader needs to have a talk with God when dealing with our country.

and once again you read too much into my statement.

I simply point out that every sitting pres has always prayed & asked for guidance.

The proof factor i mentioned i simply stated since most people ask for "prewf" when making assertions.

If it scares you that much that all Presidents have talks with God/s when dealing with our country, then may i suggest Putin for ya bro?

I hear it he never prays.

^^ 100% correct!

The Republicans had their chance when they controlled both the House, Senate & the President already.

What did they do?

The BLEW it, by increasing the size of Government such as never before.

Sit down GOP!
