You might want to give this a little more thought before you make a decision. You are not being given the whole story here. This is just my opinion so take it for what it is worth. The SN95 is a fairly flimsy chassis even with a roof which add a significant amount of bracing to the structure. Without it you are relying on just the floor pan to hold the front and rear end of the car together and sub-frames will do little to stiffen the chassis in torsion. Personally I would not be very comfortable in a vert with a 600 hp engine at speed. Convertibles are not the car of choice for a race car and for good reason. Some people will disagree with me on this and like the option of putting the roof down and enjoy the wide open space a convertible provides. There is certainly nothing wrong with that. For me if I wanted a vert it would be a V6 with an auto where I can take a leisurely Sunday drive, not a fire breathing monster that will do a buck and a half in the blink of an eye. There is something to be said about having a roof over your head. This subject has been broached many times and your question is valid. Ask Boosted Cobra what his take is on owning a Convertible you might have a different perspective. http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/terminator-talk-229/597959-r-i-p-my-sweet-cobra.html Pictures of the carnage are on page 5 He is selling off what's left of his car and hasn't posted since. Hopefully he will get back in the game but something tells me it won't be in a vert.
