Towing

Hey, I am using my '95 bolt to tow my '96 Mystic. I was wondering if anybody has ever used that helper spring thing I've seen on TV. I wish I knew the right name for it. It kinda clamps on top of the leafs and has a shock in it. I hope this is enough detail. Thanks

I have never used that product, but I have installed several "Add a Leaf" Suspension aids and the owners were very happy with them. I towed my 89 LX with my dad's stock 02 L, today and I was just telling him about an hour ago that he should look in to one of these.

The kits I installed did not include an extra dampner, they attached to the top of the leaf spring assembly and added an extra leaf. The install was really easy and could be done in a driveway with a tall enough jack.

A buddy of mine put one on a stock F-150 and he says it works great. It's adjustable and helps a bunch.:thumbsup:
