345/40R17 Toyo Proxes TQ DR's

Toyo just released a new line of DR, so I figured I will give them a try.
Size 345/40R17, I hope they will fit on the back of my Cobra with SRA.
Here are some pictures one of them comparing it to my 28x13.5 Hoosier QTP. The other is comparin them to M/T 315/35R17 that are on the car now. I know it doesn't look like it but they are 2" wider and sidewall is about 1/2" taller.
I should have them installed this weekend.

nice! Exact tire that I want to run!

what wheels are you going to mount them on?

I called Weldcraft, decided to go with widening my 10.5" rears to 12" and use 1" spacers on each side. I also have SRA.

I am planning on running them on my Cobra R 10.5's.

They'll probably bulge with only a 10.5 wheel, 335s are the limit i'd say on 10.5s. But if it works go for it I guess

They seam softer than the M/T DR's I have on right now. I will get them installed today and try to make it to the track next time it’s open. I pull 1.52 60's on the M/T; I will let you know how the Toyo’s do.
I know the rim is smaller than recommended, but M&H recommends a 12-13" rim for their 390's and they stated that they will fit 10.5 rims with no problem but you don't get as much contact area (the sides will bulge some). I will post pictures later on today with the 340's on 10.5 rims.

From what I could find Toyo has only one distributor for these tires at this time. Tiredeals4less and they are about $170 EA. It took them 2 weeks to get the tires to me. They don't have them drop shipped, they were shipped from the Toyo warehouse in TX to the distributor in IL back to me in TX.

my 315 toyo dr's will dead hook on the street and are softer than the M/T DR's I had before fro whatever that's worth. I'm now going stg V steggy 2.76/4lb lower so we'll see how they fair then but I will not drive them in the rain and don't recommend that to anyone

Those looks great! The extra sidewall will be a huge benefit, look forward to seeing pics installed and the review.

And they got here just in time. When I took my M/T off I noticed this:

I know they are worn but this looks like a manufacturing defect or I ran over something sharp.

Wow those are huge!!!! Can't really tell in the pics, how bad do they buldge? Any pics of the car showing the sidewall height difference between the front and rear tire? How well do they hook up?
