trader problem

i hate to rant like this, but it's gone on long enough. I bought an xcal2 from "tsbpenguin" on 11-19-07. Sent him the money through paypal, and he said he shipped the tuner UPS. On 12-03-07 he said he had a problem with UPS and the package came back to his door, so he'll be sending it USPS. btw, we had been PM'ing back and forth throughout this time. So i get a PM on 01-20-07 saying that it arrived back at his door again, due to the Christmas rush. He says that he will be shipping it UPS with a tracking number and asks for my address again. I give it to him and he hasn't responded to a PM since.

i need this tuner. the PATS has shut my car down since 01/27 and i can't drive it. i don't really have the money to have it towed to the ford place and let them rape me. i'm driving my grandmother's 90-something Buick La-Sabre right now.

Is there anything i can do?

Contact PayPal and have them get your money back, and then find another XCal2 to buy.

i'll post this same thread in Smackdown. Can i really get my money back from paypal if i just transfered money to his account. it doesn't say on the paypal transaction that i bought anything. I really wanted to talk to this guy before i went to paypal. doesn't look like that's going to happen though.

Good luck! Are you sure paypal doesnt have any proof that you payed him? Do you still have the email that paypal sends out when payment has been complete?

+1. I paid for rear seats off of "1999BlownCobra" and i didnt hear from him at all. Then I received 2 PM's from different members stating they also sent him money and didnt receive parts. He called me when we were working the deal. He stated his paypal account was screwed up and advised me to mail a personal check. SHould've went off as a warning sign. :bash: Anyway, I had his address from where I shipped my check to, and contacted his local authorities. Needless to say, 3 days later the seats were at my door!!!:rockon: Use your resources!!!!!!!

Yep, they brought him down to the station for questioning. Just because its over the internet doesn't mean its not a criminal offense. He made the mistake of giving me his real name and address.

Paypal has his name and account number, and what bank. Based off his bank you know what town hes from. SO after that scumbag :mj:
