tranny, clutch, or rearend... take a guess

pulled out of the school shop today, took a turn in 1st, came to a stop and went to take off again (clutch felt goofy) the car didnt go anywhere it just reved up like it was in neutral, tried again in 2nd, same thing, stuck it in reverse and it barely crawled at 3k rpm

put it up on the rack tried to roll the tires and only one spun (usually the other one spins the other way right?) i have a blown axle bearing on the side that didnt spin, oil is everywhere. i went to go spin the blown one and it spun for like a 1/2 turn and locked up

what could this be? tranny, clutch or rear end?.

7.5 wont hold as much power though. Its better to stick with an 8.8". See if you can get a replacement from a 1996-1998 GT. Dont have to pay that much for it.

Although you could just go ahead and go to a 31 spline setup.

do the tires roll backwards then stop just like if u roll it front ways if so the ring is probably missing teeth and jammed up or the pinion has the same issues
