I've been searching for information about transferring a title from VA to NC but have not found consistent information. NC requires the title to be notarized by the seller but VA does not. I live in NC so do I have to have the previous owner in VA notarize the title?

I'm loving the Cobra just need to get the paper work taken care of. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Judging by the process on the NCDOT website you'll need to submit an application for a title through them that will have to be notarized. There should be no need to get the VA title notarized.

Just to update anyone wondering the same thing. The Virginia title does not need to be notarized. The title just needs to be filled out with your information and signed by anyone on the title. You need to fill out an Title Application (MVR-1), the Declaration of Eligible Risk (MVR-615) and provide proof of insurance.

Here is a link to the NCDOT website:

NCDOT: Titles

I just wanted to provide this incase anyone else is wondering the same thing at a later time.
