I have a Tremec T-56 Manual Transmission (TUEWT1260) that I had installed on my 2002 Mustang GT, and I was curious if a transmission shop can rebuild this transmission to handle more power or if I am out of luck and just have to buy a new transmission?

Thanks

Almost anything can be rebuilt with stronger parts.

Just any transmission shop? No. Use one of the many companies that specialize in the T56.

That's exactly the information I needed thank you. Once last question. Does anybody know a specialized transmission shop that can work on a T56 around the DFW area?

Look up Texas Drivetrain Performance. I haven't used them yet, but I've read good things about them. They aren't too far from Fort Worth I think. They specialize in the t56, according to their website.
