Lots of great drummers mentioned here. One not many people don't seem to know about is Morgan Agren.

Jam session with Fredrik Thordendol of Meshuggah

Speaking of Meshuggah, can't leave out Tomas Haake.

Rick Allen of Def Leppard. Maybe not the "best" but definately has overcome some challenges!

I've never understood why everyone thought Barker was so great. Of course he's good but he's never done anything that I haven't seen many other drummers do. I'm not a drummer so I don't know, maybe someone can explain why he is set apart for his skills.

I don't know how Jordan Mancino (As I Lay Dying) compares to the drummers above but I've seen him live and he is a machine!

Correct. That's the main reason I posted the vid up. They are one of the most talented bands of all time, IMO.

I've been drumming for many years and still can't understand everyone's obsession with Travis Barker. SOOOOO overrated. It seems like it's usually people who don't play or have just started playing that always talk about him, just like Lars Ulrich. Ulrich SUCKS!!

Real drummers:
Neal Peart
Mike Portnoy
Danny Carey
Steve Gadd
and of course, they great:

Carter Beauford

Yeah bud you got all the good ones plus some.:beer:

Meh......decent at best. Any drummer can play 8th notes all day long.

Never said he was anything more. Plus note I have seen drummers fatigue playing 8th notes after a given time as well so no not any drummer can do that all day long.

yeah it was just a figure of speech. I understand why some people like him honestly. He's kind of like Ringo Starr, not that good, but good at what he's needed for. Not really trying to argue with yah, I've just heard so many people say that Lars and Travis Barker are the greatest drummers of all time and that's like the quickest way of telling whether or not someone actually plays drums. Because if they say that, they're probably not haha. It's kind of irritating yah know?
