tremmec T-56 on a 99 cobra what gear?

I have a 99 cobra with a T-56 6 speed trainny, and I'm wondering what will be the best gear for my cobra, street wise, not drag racing. would you guys say 4.10 or 3.73's?

Also what kind of powers gains do we get with the bassani mid-lengts headers? is it worth it the money?

4.30s are a blast with the T56. I dont drag race never been to the strip with my car, I do however open track/auto-x the car and fun wise the 4.30s cant be beat. Fuel mileage didnt change with the 6 spd either. Hope this helps.

id personally stick with a 4.30 or .56 but thats me i love gear...of the two your listed def. 4.10's...

I heard that the 1rst gear on the T-56 are useless unless you put a different gear on it, at this point I'm sort of going between 4.10 and 4.30.
what others parts do you need with the exeption of the gears of couse to do a gear swap? and whats a reasonable price for this job?

I like to shop around for the parts myself, so all the shop has to do is the labor and install.

i dont know if everything would be the same i put in a dif. 31spline axle and my 4.30 all in at the same time...

gear depends on which t56 you have. 03 cobra, cobra R, or Viper

i have 4.30s on my t45 and its perfect...so id say no lower than 4.30's on the t56 cause u have 6th gear to cruise in

the Viper spec and 03-04 Cobra spec sucks for an N/A setup, but it's strong. I'd go with a 4.30 at the minimum, too bad they don't have a better 6th gear ratio like the Viper spec or I'd say 4.88

yea 03/04s need 4.10/30s but the crazy 6th in the viper can use a 4.56/4.88/or 5.13.

thanks guys I think I'm going with 4.30's and as far as the calibration what do you guys usually go for? a speedcal, or a tune. in another note, I still have the IRS, am I going to be wheelhoping like crazy?

i have 410s with a t45 and i wish 1st gear were a little longer its only good till like 15mph unless your going over 3k, and a 6th gear would be sweet considering at 75 im running 2800 rpms

i don't know if 1st-4th are actually a difference of .01. that's what i pull up everywhere i look, even at my work. either way the only main difference is 5th, which is almost nothing as well....
